MANIPURI VIDEO MUSIC ALBUM

Music album is a release of recorded music to the people. It may be either video or audio format. In our Manipur, video music albums are release through cd or dvd. Video songs are usually release as a single song. And people of manipur buy it from a cassette shop. The cassette shop adds different such musics including film songs in a cd to make a complete commercial cd. They also add music according to the choice of the customers.  Now a days, our people are getting their latest music album through transferance from mobile to mobile phone or computer to computer.

The availability of such single song albums in Manipur begin in the beginning of the first half of 2000s. Audio music albums of complete songs are there before. In the beginning of 2000s, some of the popular songs from these audio albums are release as a single song video. It was very popular more than the audio one. Thus people starts shooting of single music album. The actor and actress are not professional and are of the age between 15 to 28. But some of them become professional actor/actress after that. Devita, Kamala, Kaiku are some of them. School or College students of in and around Imphal residence are usually the actor/actress of such albums. Such students do this as fun. Usually good looking girls and boys does. Such kind of music are popular among teenage and young people.

'Thajadana Mikupsida' is one the single song manipuri music album release in 2012. It is sung by Surma Chanu. Tanushree and Mamta are the actress and Laxma is the actor as well as director. Necessary informations ( budgeting, places, permits, research etc. ) and Equipments of the shooting ( camera, lighting, trolley, crane ) are provided by Mayum Networks.
